This Bay area-based philanthropy movement and corporate social responsibility initiative helps new ventures give back to local non-profit organizations and nearby causes. Startups Give Back works with companies who want to create change -- or at the very least look good to the public, who are growing increasingly concerned with ethical business practices.
The corporate social responsibility initiative organizes events on a regular basis, including community cleanup efforts and packing food for the San Francisco Food Bank. A startup can register a team to participate in an event, where they would work alongside like-minded teams from other small businesses. Therefore, in addition to volunteer work, Startups Give Back also provides networking opportunities to socially conscious companies in the city of San Francisco.
