Controversial Music Videos

Kanye West's New Music Video Features Naked Images of Celebrities

In what Kanye West proclaims to be a statement on "fame," his already controversial song 'Famous' is now coupled with a controversial music video.

The video that has created an Internet storm has done so because of its image reminiscent of Vincent Disiderio's 'Sleep,' a famous painting that features several men and woman laying next to each other. West's interpretation of this video features silicone-made celebrity impersonators in the likes of George Bush, Anna Wintour, Donald Trump, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Taylor Swift, Kanye himself, Kim Kardashian, Ray J., Amber Rose, Caitlyn Jenner and Bill Cosby, who are depicted sleeping while naked. Most of these celebrities are polarizing figures that evoke dramatic reactions from people -- whether positive, negative or both.

The controversial music video strips away the celebrity of these stars and asks questions on what fame is, how it is achieved and what makes these specific people famous.
