AR Coloring Cereal Boxes

Kellogg's and Crayola Created Family-Friendly Interactive Packaging

Breakfast cereal boxes are often designed with panels that are full of entertaining activities like mazes, puzzles, crosswords and even images to encourage coloring cereal boxes. This summer, Kellogg's Australia and Crayola are joining forces to update this fun activity for a new generation with augmented reality.

As part of this collaboration, the brands are releasing black and white cereal boxes that can be colored for the chance to win a Family Crayola gift pack.

Kids are able to use a browser-based augmented reality tool to interact with the cereal boxes. To bring their breakfast cereal box to life, kids are also able to select the character that's depicted on the packaging, allow camera access and align their mobile device to the box to see a virtual animation before their eyes.
