Software company Lightspeed commissioned Montreal-based design firm ACDF Architecture to create a harmonious juxtaposition and the result is a romantically infused color-block office. The workspace is located on the ground floor of a 19th-century building. Aa a result, many of the original elements of the structure are present and ACDF Architecture chooses to preserve them for the sake of design. Thus, employees of Lightspeed are able to enjoy a color-block office that is injected with some historical significance. While the chromatic component brings about a definite contemporary aspect to the space, the 19-century-style architectural aspect creates a striking juxtaposition that truly elevates Lightspeed's offices in Montreal from standard to something exceptional.
