The humble piggy bank is often associated with childhood saving, so the conceptual 'Fruition' coin money bank is designed to change this with a design that is inherently modern and functional.
Designed by Younghyun Kim, the money bank consists of a main unit that allows the coin compartment to hang on an extended branch. The compartment is held in place using strong magnets, but will detach from the main branch after a certain amount of money has been collected within, which signals to the user that it's time to harvest their earnings.
The conceptual 'Fruition' coin money bank speaks to the design preferences of adult consumers, but also plays on an aspect of childhood to allow children-at-heart with a way to save money.
