This is a great alternative to store-bought versions that are packed with artificial flavors, additives and a high sugar content.

The homemade granola begins with rolled oats that are dressed with almond flakes, shredded coconut and vanilla. To add a sweet taste, the oats are rolled in honey and brown sugar -- the sugar can be subbed in with agave, maple syrup or a sweetner if desired.
