The World's first robotic 3D sign is on display in New York's Times square, featuring a giant moving billboard that's displaying a Coca-Cola advertisement. Using programmed choreography, the 1,760 screens which comprise the billboard can be moved independently on one another, performing a waving dance for its on-lookers. The six storey sign was on display for the 300,000 people who passed by, creating a multi-sensory experience.
The towering installation could be viewed from interactive pop-up seating placed throughout the busy Manhattan intersection, which sprayed a cool mist as ambassadors handed out samples of the refreshing beverage. Times Square was strategically selected to house this unique display for its history as an iconic landmark, and "epicenter of outdoor advertising."
Being the first of its kind, the 3D robotic sign has been awarded with two Guinness World Records.
