Circular Clubhouse Structures

Taller Ezequiel Aguilar Martínez Designs the La Pedrera Clubhouse

Taller Ezequiel Aguilar Martínez recently designed a circular clubhouse called La Pedrera Clubhouse. This project represents a masterful integration of architecture and landscape within the rugged terrain of Puebla's Sierra del Tentzo region.

This circular clubhouse for the Cola de Lagarto development demonstrates a sensitive approach to site-specific design. The structure is carefully positioned on a hillside to frame panoramic views of golf courses, valleys, and the iconic Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl volcanoes. The design employs concentric spatial rings that radiate from a central water feature, creating a harmonious transition between the built environment and natural context.

The architectural expression balances robust materiality with delicate detailing, featuring a dramatic oculus that connects interior spaces to the sky and the surrounding landscape. Local materials, including regional stone and tepetate-finished concrete walls, ensure the building will age gracefully, as well.
