Icy Mashup Treats

Cinnabon Swirl Unites Cinnabon and Carvel to Entice Gen Z & Millennials

Noting that younger consumers favor fun mashups, Cinnabon and Carvel are teaming up to launch a new concept called Cinnabon Swirl. The first Cinnabon Swirl location is set to open in May 2025 in Hillsboro, Oregon, to serve Cinnabon Swirl Sundaes, Ice Cream Sandwiches with Carvel soft serve between two freshly baked cookies, and the Bonini—a cinnamon roll heated in a panini press.

This original brand from parent company GoTo Foods mashes up the best qualities of two beloved brands to delight a new generation with the "ooey-gooey goodness" of Cinnabon and the treat-like refreshment of Carvel. “Looking at our customer data, Gen Z and Millennials are really looking for that little treat and leaning into nostalgia,” Kieran Donahue, chief commercial officer at GoTo Foods, revealed to ADWEEK.
