While it is not uncommon to find strawberry and basil paired with one another for a unique flavor experience, Poetic License is offering a variation on this fruity and herbaceous combination with its newest product—Cherry and Basil Gin.
The small-batch gin is made with fresh, hand-pressed cherry juice, which gives it a distinctive pink tint. As distiller Luke Smith says: "I personally hand-pressed the cherries for the batch which was a messy job but I think the result is worth it." According to Smith, this combination of cherry and basil also gives the gin a "surprising" factor.
Some of the other experimental flavors that Poetic License has released in the past include Orange Blossom and the strawberries and cream-flavored Picnic Gin.
