Round Paper Cheese Labels and Fabric Swathing Are Effective Artisan Packaging

As an alternative to the contemporary preference for plastic wrap and stickers, this proposal for cheese labels is more authentic in appearance and function. Designed by Diogo Vareta, this Casa da Trindade Cheese packaging concept comprises a simple paper cover and a cloth wrap to keep the product protected.

For two different varieties of the bovine byproduct get their own label each, featuring distinctive colors and patterns. The brie-style cheeses are marked with tiny dots or triangles, in white or a soft mauve hue. The moist surface of the food is enough to keep the coaster-sized label stuck in place, and a thin layer of natural mold does keep the soft insides effectively contained. The incorporation of a fabric cover completes a package design that looks deliciously artisanal.
