To announce its new community marketplace, car sharing service Sidecar invited several San Francisco-based tastemakers to participate in the #TastemakerTakeover. Tastemakers included representatives from Poshmark, a platform to buy and sell fashion, Tablehopper, a blog about dining in San Francisco and design blog Emmadime.
Each of these influencers decorated a Sidecar, which added a personal touch and made it feel as if they were riding right alongside you. The unusually decked out car interiors were extremely popular on Instagram, since they provided beautiful vignettes to snap photos of, as well as made perfect backdrops for selfies.
Riding in one of these cars and hashtagging it with #TastemakerTakeover also gives people the chance to win a month's worth of rides from Sidecar.
