The Cannery is a new farm-to-table community located in the city of Davis, California. This community comprises over 500 energy-efficient homes, wide open spaces and trails, all of which are fed by a large working farm.

The Cannery aims to contribute towards a healthy way of life. In addition to walking and biking trails, the Cannery features a plaza for outdoor get-togethers, handy access to retail stores as well as places for people to use and charge electronic devices. There will also be a classroom for people eager to learn more about agriculture.

Modern urban living has become increasingly difficult and complicated for a whole multitude of different reasons, but innovative projects such as the Cannery show that there is a better way to achieve sustainable and healthy urban living.
