McDonald’s Germany is Selling Camembert Donuts as a Cheesy Side Dish

While Camembert cheese may be the price of France, McDonald's Germany is taking a stab at the soft and creamy cheese with the debut of its new Camembert Donuts. Featuring a crispy, golden exterior and a warm, cheesy filling, the mini donuts may just dethrone McDonald's fries as the ultimate side dish.

The new Camembert Donuts are a cheesy side served exclusively at McDonald's locations across Germany. The donuts themselves feature a distinctive ring shape that is breaded and deep-fried until crispy on the outside. The inside is filled with real camembert cheese, which oozes when the donuts are broken open. In short, the new donuts are a gourmet take on the beloved mozzarella cheese sticks. Best of all, the cheesy donuts come with a side of tart cranberry sauce for dipping.
