Uber will now let California users select preferred drivers on the ride-hailing platform. The new abilities for California users come as a result of legislative changes in the area pertaining to contract workers. After a user has given a driver a rating of five stars, they will then have the option to add that driver into their favorites. Following that, when users book a ride they will have the ability to choose from the list of their favorite drivers.
Uber is also enacting other changes to the platform for users in California, including displaying a price range instead of the price that a ride will be. Uber spoke about the new changes to the platform and stated, "These changes may take some getting used to.”
