In light of Data Privacy Week, Uber and Uber Eats have introduced an important feature to their apps that aims to increase transparency and give consumers peace of mind. The feature, called "View as a Driver" and "View as a Delivery Person", allows users to see exactly what personal information a driver or delivery person on the Uber platform has access to.

The view includes details such as the customer's first name and last initial, delivery address, and customer notes. However, it also confirms that Uber never shows drivers or delivery persons certain information, such as payment method, phone number, rating, or last name.

This feature is particularly important for consumers as drivers and delivery persons often meet customers at their doorstep.
