Self-Driving Food Delivery Services

Uber Eats is Launching Waymo Delivery Services in Phoenix

The Metro Phoenix area is getting a new Waymo Delivery service implemented by Uber Eats. Consumers may have their orders delivered by the self-driving cars in the area as the latest update. When placing an order on the app, users will receive a prompt that notes "autonomous vehicles may deliver your order."

Once agreed upon, users will be notified if a Waymo car does pick up the order and that they will need to take their phone to meet it so users will be able to open the trunk and retrieve their food. Notably, this option can be opted out during the checkout process if it is not ideal to head out and get their order.
