‘Cabeza’ by Jorge Miguel is a series of close-up portraits of men and women. The portraits are beautiful yet haunting. The inner darkness of each character is displayed through the elaborate makeup and facial expressions of the models. The makeup and props that went into each photograph was done with great care and detail.
I particularly like the portrait of the woman in the bird cage with the bright feathers of a canary at the edge of her satisfied lips. Its sinister and sweet all at once.
