Homey Wood Flooring Showrooms

Dinesen Boasts Its Expertiese in a Brooklyn Residential Building

The Danish wood flooring manufacturer Dinesen has established a temporary exhibition space in a Brooklyn residential building. Conceived as a functional apartment and designed by architect David Thulstrup, this pop-up showroom is intended to provide an immersive, sensory encounter with the company's products within a realistic living environment. The activation is intentionally in contrast to the conventional retail setting.

Dinesen's Brooklyn residential building interior features extensive use of the brand's oak flooring and custom woodwork — from the wall cladding and the staircase to the built-in furniture. The handiwork was executed by specialized Danish craftspeople. The space is furnished with a curated selection of items from Scandinavian designers to create a cohesive aesthetic that serves to highlight the wood, as well. This New York installation represents the brand's second such venture, following a similar project in Copenhagen, and will remain accessible to visitors by appointment until February 2026.
