Vertical Cable Cars

The 'British Airways i360' Will Be the UK's Highest Observation Tower

Billed as the world's first vertical cable car, the 'British Airways i360' is set to change the face of observation towers.

The British Airways i360 is an observation tower located on the edge of a beach in Brighton, UK. The tower is designed by Marks Barfield Architects, who also designed the iconic London Eye. However, unlike the London Eye, the British Airways i360 will feature large glass viewing pods that will be able to transport passengers vertically. The cable car will reach a height of 138 meters and will provide stunning views of the English Channel. For those standing beneath the tower, a mirrored underside will cast breathtaking reflections of the sea and the coastal Sussex landscape.

With construction completed just days ago, the observation tower is expected to open sometime this summer.
