A growing number of consumers are spending hours each day using their smartphone or computer, so 'Brick' has been developed as a way to help them regain some of the control over their lifestyle.

The platform works by offering users a way to find phone-free events that are happening in their area, while also pinpointing social activities to partake in that are focused on socialization rather than phone use. A mobile app is also available to help users focus on their reduction of smartphone usage and reward them for the time they don't spend staring at a screen.

Smartphone addiction has quickly become a problem for some consumers and is requiring intervention to help them break the habit which can seem impossible to do given the ubiquity of the powerful handheld devices. 'Brick' aims to help users do this and help them regain more control over their life rather than feeling like a slave to the technology they own.
