Non-Corporate Office Designs

The BP Lower 48 Office Was Designed to Attract Younger Employees

BP Lower 48 is a gas company based in Oklahoma City and its office was designed by the firm Fitzsimmons Architects in order to attract younger employees to the business.

The main focus in designing the space was to create an environment that rejects traditional corporate functions and atmospheres. Instead, the space is able to offer an air of luxury, comfort and warmth all at once. The office's exposed brick, use of dark wood and warm lighting makes the space appear inviting and almost lounge-like in its appearance. This atmosphere, coupled with private and semi-private working areas, ensures that the open-plan space is still able to provide both comfort and privacy to its employees.

The BP Lower 48 office sets a precedent for how unassuming companies can attract young and creative talent.
