Black Star Pastry is famous for its strawberry watermelon cake, which was dubbed "Australia's most Instagrammed dessert" b the New York Times. Linehouse, a Shanghai-based design studio, created the space to evoke an out-of-world experience for guests. More specifically, the ground floor mimics the interior of a spaceship. The walls are covered in stainless steel shelving that holds meteorites throughout the entire space. The shelving even extends across the ceiling, forming arches that explore the limits of gravity.
