Woodland Light Projections

The Bioluminescent Forest is Worthy of James Cameron's 'Avatar' Series

As though straight out of the blockbuster movie 'Avatar,' the Bioluminescent Forest is a wondrous sight that would take anyone's breath away. Yet the entire scene is a clever performance executed with the help of some digital light projections. Yet they have been used so seamlessly, people will think that the Bioluminescent Forest is a real phenomenon at first.

Created by photographer Tarek Mawad and animator Friedrich van Schoor, the Bioluminescent Forest is the result of six weeks of work. Leaves are given a breath of fire while bulbs glow enchantingly and woodland creatures move around as though they belong in another world. This is Colossal writes, "The filmmakers state that everything you see was created live, without any effects added in post-production."
