Dr. Zapata's alternative is a special film is made with plastic and natural additives, producing a range of benefits.
This biodegradable fruit packaging isn't merely environmentally friendly, but also helps prevent bacteria, fungi and other undesirables from coming into contact with the fruit. It will also help produce financial losses caused by fruit rotting during transportation.
Importantly, the cost of producing this special biodegradable fruit packaging is not significantly higher than that associated with typical polyethylene plastic. Given the benefits it offers, it seems the special film plastic alternative could be well worth it.
