Bioactive Peptide Research Collaborations

Nuritas Announces a Special Research Collaboration

Nuritas, a biotechnology company that utilizes artificial intelligence to discover clinically proven food peptides, has announced a research collaboration with Professor Graeme Close of Liverpool John Moores University. The goal of this venture is to investigate the potential of the brand's bioactive peptide ingredient, PeptiStrong.

PeptiStrong is derived from fava beans to support muscle health, physical resilience, and longevity in adults aged 60 to 85. The study will compare two protein drinks — one containing a standard 20-gram dose of whey protein, and another with half the total protein dose—just ten grams—made of whey protein combined with PeptiStrong. It will assess whether the lower-protein formulation can produce equal or greater improvements in physical function metrics such as the ability to stand from a chair, walking speed, balance, grip strength, and markers related to inflammation, fatigue, and quality of life.
