These days transportation methods often compete for space on the road and because of that it’s important for pedestrians, cyclists and drivers to understand bike laws. Many of the transportation efforts in the developed world have been geared towards getting less people driving single occupancy vehicles and more people carpooling, taking public transportation and even riding their bike. However, when you have more people riding their bikes you end up with both pedestrians and drivers unsure of where the cyclists should be. Apparently in Philadelphia this is an issue and the Philadelphia Office of Transportation created this print ad to get cyclists off sidewalks.
The print ad is unforgiving and aggressive in its tone. It essentially tells cyclists to keep their bikes off the sidewalk.
