The Betsey Johnson Spring 2012 Collection is Fabulously Flirty

Before I begin, I want to put out a disclaimer that the Betsey Johnson Spring 2012 collection may be negatively received by many due to its overt sexuality and well, lack of fabric, but I consider the line a success in what it is trying to achieve.

Let's be honest, Betsey Johnson is like that friend everyone has that's fun to be around and is the life of the party, but that no one would ever consider having over to meet the parents. It's hard to take her designs seriously, so if you approach it with the mindset that its pieces are meant to be fun and playful, the Betsey Johnson Spring 2012 collection is surely fantastic in its own right.

Burlesque is a prominent theme in the Betsey Johnson Spring 2012 collection, mixed with a whimsical Alice in Wonderland theme that is always present in Johnson's designs. My favorite piece in the collection is the transparent trench coat which, when not worn with just black lingerie underneath, will surely be adorable.
