This June, ReedPOP will host the first ever Beijing Comic Convention. Bringing together the latest in pop culture content, the event will provide an opportunity for Beijing residents to share their love of stories, characters and design.

The Beijing Comic Convention is set to take place on June 9th and 10th at the New China International Exhibition Center. The event was launched as a way to meet the Chinese demand for professional comic conventions and interactive pop culture exhibitions. While the event will highlight the best in Chinese and international comics, there will also be exhibits celebrating popular movies, TV shows and video games. Additionally, there will be interactive events such as a cosplay competition, panel discussions and live sketching sessions.

With a similar convention also set to take place in Shanghai, the Beijing Comic Convention demonstrates the ongoing popularity of national and international comic books in China.
