The Bangkok Bank works with Thai Payment Network and Mastercard on a new contactless debit card entitled the 'Be First Smart TPN.' The new card functions with a security system in place that sends out a text notification at no charge when a transaction is over Bt300. The bank's Vice President Shoke na Ranong announces that the new Be First Smart TPN Mastercard debit card eliminates the need to swipe, and can be processed with a simple wave over an electronic data capture device.
The new card is suitable for the government's policy of being a "cashless society" as it enables a more seamless transaction process. Additionally, Bangkok Bank announces special promotions for Be First Smart TPN cardholders -- this includes discounts for movie tickets, GuavaPass, and Grab.
