Upcycled Car Coasters

These Arrive Alive Bar Coasters are Made from Wrecked Cars

As part of its efforts to encourage safe driving on St. Patrick's Day, a holiday where drinking is at its center, Arrive Alive created a unique set of metal bar coasters with an arresting message.

The indented bar coasters from Arrive Alive are laser-etched with words that say: "This coaster used to be a car. That car never made it home." While the dangers of drinking and driving are not explicitly stated as part of this campaign, those who are drinking at the bar are left with a sobering reminder of the devastating results that may come about based on even just one poor decision made after a night of drinking.

For St. Patrick's Day this year, these coasters can be found at the Emmet Ray whiskey bar in Toronto.
