Banana-Based Roll Cakes

Starbucks Japan Has a Fruity New Banana Rice Flour Roll Cake

Alongside its buzzy new Banana Brûlée Frappuccino, Starbucks Japan has also added two tasty new banana-themed treats: the Banana Rice Flour Roll Cake and the Banana Rice Flour Muffin.

Available from May 29 until July 9, the new Banana Brûlée lineup is capturing consumer attention thanks to its use of mottainai banana, which combines the puree of ultra-ripe bananas (which might otherwise go to waste) with a lightly burnt caramel flavor. The new Banana Rice Flour Roll Cake pairs mottainai banana with a plant-based whipped cream filling, while the Banana Rice Flour Muffin features mottainai banana in the dough and extra banana chips on top.

You can try the tasty new lineup and do your part to ensure fewer bananas go to waste by trying the new Banana Brûlée lineup at Starbucks locations in Japan.
