Sweet Layered Frappucinos

Starbucks Japan Rolled Out a New Butterscotch-Flavored Beverage

Starbucks Japan introduces the Layered Butterscotch Frappuccino, which has a creamy, caramel-rich flavor inspired by butterscotch candies. This beverage combines coffee, milk, white chocolate, and vanilla flavors with ice, layered over fresh cream and white chocolate syrup. It’s finished with a drizzle of caramelized butterscotch sauce, which includes a shot of espresso, and topped with coffee-flavored whipped cream. Priced at 690 yen, the drink is available until April 9, 2024.

The Layered Butterscotch Frappuccino draws on the popularity of canned milk coffee in Japan, a blend of milk, coffee, and sugar commonly found in vending machines. The new Frappuccino is a nod to this traditional beverage, offering a modern twist for Starbucks customers. It follows the release of the Creamy & Sweet Milk Coffee from the previous spring, which was very successful in the region.
