While hamburgers pilled high with bacon strips are common across the US, KFC Australia is offering its own take on the meaty sandwich with its new Bacon Lovers Burger. Instead of salty strips of crispy bacon, this burger is made with large, round cuts of back bacon.
The new Bacon Lovers Burger is a carnivore-friendly creation created for Australia's summer season. The burger itself consists of an Original Recipe chicken fillet topped with two slices of cheese, two slices of back bacon and the chain's new Baconnaise sauce, all served on a brioche-style bun. The main difference between the Australian-style bacon burger and its American counterparts is not just the addition of bacon mayonnaise, but also the use of back bacon, which is cut from the loin instead of the fatty belly of the pig.
