As more and more people make the switch from driving to biking, there is going to be a need for awesome bike locks like the B.Y. Handle Lock. The B.Y. Handle Lock is a creative design that attaches a tether from the handlebars through the front wheel to prevent thieves from riding off with your bike.
Currently, the best ways to secure your bicycle from thieves include heavy duty steel locks and taking off the front wheel. These two strategies both effectively deter thieves, but they are also incredibly cumbersome. The B.Y. Handle Lock would be installed directly into your bike, freeing you from having to carry around your wheel or a massive lock. The system is keyless and locks and unlocks via a combination lock. If designers Dong Young Seo, Ho Sun Kim and Yea Jin Kang could find a strong enough material to use for the tether then there might just be something here.
