Fallen Foliage Seating

The Autumn Colors Chairs are Crisp and Iconic Furnishings to Warm a Room

When Anton Naselevets designed the Autumn Colors Chairs, he strove to create an object that would be experienced as so much more than a simple seating object. When it comes to these furnishings, sitters would feel visually delighted, comfortable and relaxed, yet they should also experience a warmth and a nostalgia for the wonders of the fall season.

Inspired by the rustling foliage that collects on the ground, the designer cut natural wood veneers to take the shapes of broad oak leaves. The material has been molded under pressure to curl up and in, supporting the body with a distinctive seat and backrest and embracing one's contours subtly on either side. To complete the Autumn Colors Chairs, soft fabric upholstery was applied, exuding rich oranges, reds and yellows, and detailed with the patterns of veins.
