Hanahana Beauty is a Black-owned all-natural skincare and wellness brand that seeks to change this. The company is inspired by the traditions of Africa, where "nkuto" (the Twi name for shea butter) is a go-to remedy for all concerns from headaches to dry skin.

Inspired by memories from her childhood, Founder Abena Boamah-Acheampong sought out to build a business that is ethical and sustainable. It all led her to the Katariga Women in Tamale, Ghana. Tapping the cultural relevance in expertise and uplifting communities, Hanahana Beauty seeks to make authentic shea butter products that are enhanced by natural oils available to consumers. All products are crafted directly from the Katariga Women's Shea Cooperative in Ghana.
