Playground is an audio-visual installation that debuted at the Sonos Studio SXSW.
Those who enter the installation, which was was formerly a shed, have the opportunity to visualize any song of their choosing. The black-and-white interior -- brought to life using a Sonos Playbar, a kinect and several projectors -- responds to every audio cue in any given track. The exhibit also detects sensory movement, which adds yet another dimension to the already-pulsating scene. The end result is an immersive experience that will add a visual layer to your favorite song, providing a different way to enjoy it.
The graphics in the installation were inspired by the geometric design of the Sonos playbar, as well as the minimalist aesthetic of Sol Lewitt's drawings.
