OJAS Listening Room Opens at USM Modular Furniture

Devon Turnbull's company OJAS has been creating many creative projects lately, and the latest to spawn is a semi-permanent installation that is found in Soho, New York's USM Modular Furniture flagship shop. It is imagined as a shrine to sound, inviting those who are interested and audiophiles to immerse themselves in the audio experience.

It is set up in the space's towering shelving system which is also stocked with books, records, and other audio equipment. Together, they seamlessly blend as they embody a similar aesthetic. It is made to invite listeners to “experience a calming environment to contemplate music, liberated from the disruption of outside noise." It is a room that taps into different senses that focus on various traits of a temple or shrine.
