Chile-born, Brooklyn-based artist Iván Navarro's newest exhibition sits along the sidewalks of NYC's Madison Square Park. The exhibition is called This Land Is Your Land and features three small water towers.
By walking underneath the water towers, viewers will see mirrors and neon lights that appear as ladders or text that looks as if it goes on forever. Navarro used water towers as a universal symbol of necessities that everyone needs to survive. Navarro explains, "these simple and timeless wooden structures containing water -- the most primitive and elemental resource, the essence of human sustenance -- reminds us of the basic condition that all humanity shares." If you want to get a first hand look, the exhibition will be on display until April 13th, 2014.
