Work-Friendly City Apartments

Architecture Office DROO's Apartments are WFM-Oriented

Architecture Office DROO designed four apartments atop a London warehouse building with flexible configurations to facilitate the changing working environments. As the world transitions to work-from-home situations and opt for home-schooling options for themselves and their children, there is a growing need for modular home setups, especially in limited urban spaces.

DROO's City Approach project involves designs that facilitate co-living, home-schooling, and working from home. The project adds two floors to an existing Edwardian warehouse building. The apartments offer two-and three-bedroom units designed to be adaptable and suit a range of different living situations. DROO explained that "due to the increasingly pervasive nature of technology, there is a major shift in many households towards hybrid work arrangements," which the architecture office aims to accommodate.
