Anna Hrachovec Knits One Design Per Week with the Tiny Challenge

There are several perks to having a friend that knits -- free scarves, mittens, hats, socks, and whatever else you need to stay warm -- but Anna Hrachovec doesn't create anything wearable.

Back in 2009, Hrachovec knit a tiny brain design. Intrigued by the idea of using her knitting talents to create adorable, miniature figures, she set a goal for herself. Calling it the Tiny Challenge, she began by knitting one mini design every weekday for a month. After the first month, she would create one new design every week.

Two years later, Anna Hrachovec still challenges herself to create tiny knit figurines to add to her constantly expanding collection. Hrachovec has knit over 100 mini designs, but she explains, "I thought working with small goals on a daily basis would make me forget about bigger stuff for a while. I really didn't think it would last beyond one month."
