'An Axe by Any Other Name' Turns Fender Guitars into Original Works of Art

You don't have to be a guitar god to dig 'An Axe by Any Other Name.' 'An Axe by Any Other Name' is a project commissioned by Kevin O’Callaghan to his pupils at the New York City School of Visual Arts. The project involved the students getting their own Fender guitar, which they then got to reshape and mold.

Each guitar has its own unique look and feel and is modeled after a charity supported by the artist's favorite rock star. Each axe reflects its chosen charity in its design, with my personal favorite being the Surfrider Foundation-inspired guitar. If you are a fan of music and art (who isn't?), then be sure to click through all of these epically artistic axes.
