American Girl recently released that it has plans to release six new American Girl doll characters in the coming year with a focus on diversity and different interests. Among them are Gabriela McBride, the 2017 Girl of the Year, as well as Hawaiian Nanea and Tenney Grant, who is a rising Nashville music star.
One of the most notable additions to American Girl's doll assortment will be Logan Everett, the brand's first-ever boy doll. According to American Girl, Logan's character is a drummer who performs with Tenney Grant and has his own set of drums. With the introduction of Logan, American Girl says: "We're hopeful Logan will appeal to both girls and boys."
Mattel, which owns American Girl, got an incredible response from consumers after introducing a more diverse selection of Barbie dolls. Considering that a boy character has been requested by American Girl fans for years, Logan is bound to be a hit.
