AltspaceVR Lets People Engage Socially with Media in a Virtual Space

Virtual Reality is being integrated across a wider ranger of industries, from real estate to bicycle racing, and now includes social media with AltspaceVR. Currently in beta, the company is making the web an even more immersive experience by enabling people to engage with people socially via avatars. The virtual reality social media enables people to share their experiences in a virtual space.

Users can sign up with AltspaceVR and go to scheduled events, where they can explore the virtual world they've created using an Oculus Rift headset or a desktop computer. Users can create and customize their avatars. From there you can do any number of things, including interact with other users, share a Reddit post or even play an online game.
