Mechanics and the economy of passenger capacities tend to be factors that most influence transportation design, with appearances coming later. Alstom Deconstruccio is a conceptual design for a train that does well to incorporate the most efficient configurations, but works thoughtfully with a visual language from every window to every headrest.
The experience of traveling via the iron horse offers people the opportunity to absorb and appreciate the unique landscape along their journey. Ruben Oya and Guido Dodero's proposal strives to celebrate the setting more fully. The cladding of each car was aesthetically inspired by the work of Catalan artist Antoni Gaudi with bold, jagged and mosaic-style shapes that frame the views and influence the forms of the interior elements. The Alstom Deconstruccio train cabins even boast three different adaptable arrangements to suit different lengths of journeys and to introduce further dynamism into use.
