Mcdonald's New Ad Spots Feature Real Social Media Messages

McDonald's has released its all-day breakfast ads in preparation for today's big launch of the long-awaited event. The short clips hilariously portray actors reading out cheery McDonald's fan tweets and Facebook posts. The messages are delivered in low energy and feature straight faces despite their theme which is supposed to be optimistic and fun. The actors reading the messages also poke fun at universally understood abbreviations and exaggerate the errors for comedic effect. McDonald's all-day breakfast ads also take advantage of the growing popularity of emojis and highlight their use in everyday communication.
This ad is only one of the many that McDonald's will release coinciding with its new all-day breakfast promotion. This campaign is part of a huge social media marketing push by McDonald's -- one that involves newly released GIFs on Twitter and other social platforms.
