The AKO Trike is a two-person, three-wheeled transportation solution that aims to infuse a little bit of fun and excitement in the otherwise ordinary act of commuting or driving between locations. Featuring a 140 kW motor, the vehicle is powered by an impressive battery that will offer up to 300 km of range per charge to make it ideal for longer trips. The vehicle is designed for efficiency but doesn't skimp when it comes to maneuverability and will lean when being turned to maximize capabilities on the road, while also thrilling the driver and passenger.
The AKO Trike is presently in the patent-pending proof-of-concept stage and was explained by engineer Artūras Mikalauskas from Team AKO who said, "The body leaning solution is based on pure mechanics (MB Lifejet concept is based on hydraulics) thus making it way cheaper to develop and light. We filed a patent for this and right now the second prototype is getting way more refined parts compared to the prototype zero."
