AI-Enabled Personalized Retail Experiences

Honeywell Implements an AI-Driven Retail System

Honeywell has introduced an AI-driven retail system named the Smart Shopping Platform. The venture was developed in conjunction with Google Cloud and the consultancy 66degrees.

The Smart Shopping Platform is engineered to integrate digital personalization and navigation features directly into physical store environments. This functionality is made possible through Google's Gemini and Vertex AI technologies hosted on Honeywell's proprietary hardware devices. The AI-driven retail system functions on handheld units — like the CS32 Personal Shopper — carried by shoppers or store associates. These devices work to offer guided store navigation, personalized product suggestions, and real-time alternative recommendations when items are unavailable. Consumers can even link their loyalty accounts when using the Smart Shopping Platform, which further enhances convenience, personalization, and accuracy.

Employees, on the other hand, can rely on Honeywell's AI-driven retail system through devices like the Honeywell CT70.
