A first-of-its-kind virtual caregiver made its debut at CES 2019 in the form of Addison of Addison Care from Electronic Caregiver.
Addison combines ambient augmented reality, artificial intelligence and a conversational speech interface to create a friendly companion to enhance homes and full-time health and wellness settings. Addison appears on-screen to provide support for everything from medications and care plans to social experiences and emergency response situations.
With Electronic Caregiver noting that "10,000 people turn 65 every day," Addison is a smart health professional and personal assistant that has the potential to help offer an affordable home healthcare solution. Addison provides demonstrations and monitors one's vitals via Bluetooth devices, and assesses changes in one's condition to minimize risks like falling.
